honesty is the best policy tahlia lol. it seems to me that they only ever stop people in hot hatches or cars which don't suit the driver (17 yr olds in a BMW) that's what my opinion is. i see my car as something that i want to be unique to me or even just different to standard. tho i must admit to speeding quite often but only like 80 on motorways if that counts lol

So you rarely exceed the speed limit, fuck right off!

All the time.  What I said was, if you read it, I have only ever been stopped once!  Been done for speeding twice (caught by mobile camera vans) but licence is now clean again!

So the consensus is that modded cars cause you to get more attention and thus more tickets.

    Re: listen up!! opinions please!!

seems that poeple with modified car are portrayed as boy racers and people who go doing burn outs and hagnine around shop car parks casuing bother when in reality the serous car modifiers dont do any of that they woudl rather be in garage modifying there car or cleaning it getting it ready for the big shows and cruises

i had a interesting convo ith the poilce lady at the south wales cruise she was sayign the the cruise to other people looks sort of scary and intimedating ie to mothers and children but i disagreed with her and cruise on a big scale dont look intimiedating at all they look fairly organised i could under stand a small group of people causing trould doing wheel spins would look worse i just think the bigger the cruise the less it look like its casueing nusence

Your bragging that your legal problems are "a nightmare"?  I don't think that if you had a truly painful legal battle you would put it like that.  Two I believe what the post generating the discussion is just on police harassment which could just be them asking what your doing tonight.

How about you lose your job, marriage goes just about down the pan, and have a 2 year ban to contend with?

    Re: listen up!! opinions please!!

I'd lift the speed limits on the motorway, after a good fast run, I like nothing better than to just cruise back home sticking with the speed limits in the city (mostly 30 MPH).  Becuase there are cameras everywhere, poeple race in certain spots where it could be dangerous to do so, then an accident happens and it's all over the papers, "BOY RACERS DIE IN A BALL OF FLAMES".  Then what happens is the normal decent modder gets tarred with the same brush as these nobs who race everywhere.

If you've gone for a good legal (If there's no speed limit on the motorway) blast and at a speed you're comfortable with, then you'll be a lot more less likely to want to race when you've had a good rush and are on the way back home.

Yes, I've broken the speed limit, who hasn't?  But I'll only do it when I'm certain that I'm not putting anyone in danger but me (motorway, 2am, no traffic at all on the M1) and that I'm certain my car is up to the job.

P.S. I've been stopped once in my 10 years of driving. I think my previous statements say something eh?
