I never once and to my knowledge no-one else has ever said that ALL american cars are like that, just the very vast majority

but then again just like most people I know who like yank tanks, you seem like a very small minded prick. You all seem to have this tunnel vision thing going on where you think that American cars are amazing but in reality most modern european and japanese cars would run rings around anything america could put in front of them

YE SPEAKETH THE TRUTH!!!! YANK IN A STRAIGHT LINE = GOOD, YANK ON BENDS = A&E.

Thats the only way it could have been put

Wise man once said, "You'll kill yourself in that car son!."

The reply the wise man got off me, "Well sir, at least i'll die a happy man."

I love American Car because it's classy and really a good catch, but I love Japanese cars too because of the simplicity.

But you can add some accessories for Autopartswarehouse to these models for them to be more classy and gorgeous. I love American trucks and SUV.

Running 7 different cars in only 2 years.I bet your insurance company loved you,Most of the peeps on here couldn`t even get insurance for some of those ! Yeah your right I`m a lot older that you, even older that your Dad,.............................My first Modded/Custom whatever was the Engine & box out of an MGB I wrecked into an Austin A40 Farina street sleeper stylee

Sounds like your Dad has had a bad experience of USA cars......What cars were they ? ....If you buy the wrong ones they are going to be shitters anyway !

Which USA cars did your Dad have ?

There`s another thread on here about low insurance costs,as your young n have had a few cars already perhaps you could help out with a good broker

not sure which yank cars he's had all way before my time, but I do know a chap that had a 1972 pontiac GTO that he couldnt bring out unless it was boiling hot outside because it had no grip so wouldnt go round corners, and it doubled in horse power every time he talked about it

Can`t you ask what the yanks were? I know you said that they were before your time, but according to you ya Dad thought they were so bad that his experience has led you to believe that all Yanks were crap etc (your words).

As for the chap you know with a `72....Well,what can you say..there`s loads of people who are good at "Guess what I caught while Fishing"

As for corners?how sharp were they? how fast did he hope to go ?

    At long last!

There is someone on here claiming to be a car guru knowing all there is to know, well I have to say I am humbled by your claimed extensive knowledge.

Really now, saying that all american cars are all unrefined and underpowered is a bit like saying all Jap cars are copies of someone elses designs (rip off / copy merchants). As for racing on B roads, surely that is illegal & perhaps the Directors of Future publishing wouldn`t like their Forum to condone it.I`ve had a few Jap cars in my time & yes some even had leaf springs & drums which for most car companys were still in use up to the late 70s.In fact Nissan made the Ford model y under license under the Nissan branding.

At the momentI`m lucky enough to have two USA cars, three Brits & a company Monaro............So,while trying to "get over it" as you say I`ve had a look under the......

Plymouth,Yes there they are,two cart springs n drums all round....Built in 1968 you can only really compare it ith other cars built up to that date.

Corvette, er,no cart springs to be seen anywhere!!!!  LSD,IRS,inboard rear discs,

company Monaro, This is the GM Pontiac with the proven Chevy 350 with body designs & re build by Holden & then badged by Vauxhall. Er,no cart springs or drums either.

So,being a car guru you do of course know all of this already so I posted it any way so everyone can then lean what you aleady know.I also typed it very slowly as well so you could read at your speed without moving your lips.
