only passed me test 7 months ago just wanted a bit quicker than most (normal 1st cars) so went for a 1.6 16v which was ok. problem being it was a rover which blew up and i didn't see a point of going down in bhp so went from roughly 103 to the 128 i've got now in the prim

The STANDARD Saxo VTS left the factory with 120 BHP and weighed 935 KG, it took 7.6 seconds to reach 60 mph, hit 100mph in 21 seconds and topped out at 127mph, its power to weigh ratio was 130 BHP per ton. Your Primera had 140 BHP and weighed a lardy 1290 KG, yes it managed 0 60 in 8.3 seconds, which is not bad, but id  have reached 100 mph 4 seconds earlier,and as for not having a prayer against any jap motor,think again..............NUMBTY!

Apology accepted, as for having a saxo, i like small hot hatches, you can chuck them all over the place and decent ones go well.If you crash them just pray you'll be ok, luckily i aint, only car i have was an Alfa 33 back in 1996,when i out dragged a 2.0 cavalier SRI, then binned it as my brakes caught fire!. Big respect for italian motors. It was only a 1.5 litre but went like stink to a ton.
