    lowering a astra

    i got a astra mk3 and just put some 17s on it and shes sitting abit proud people have said got 60mm ive seen it done and it looks pukka any suggestions?

    ain't 60mm a bit too low. won't it scrape the floor with any fat people in the back?

    30/45 should be fine

     Ah, the source of the PM....

     Right MK3 Astra.

    A 60mm drop on 17" rims is fine as long as your using 205/40 R17 tyres.

    You wont be able to do it just by swapping the springs tho.

     You'll have to swap the shocks, they don't like anything more than a -40mm drop.

    If you don't they'll last about a month before you need swap them anyway.

    Ideally spend that bit more and get a set of coilovers.

    It'd be cheaper going for a 40mm drop, bu would look better on a 60mm drop.

     

    Get the best set up you can afford.
