I have an 1989 Celica GTS with a 3S-GE engine with 5 speed. I have recently found that the engine is no longer working (DO TO LACK OF OIL). I have a chance of getting a J-Spec pull out 1990-93 3S-GTE turbo engine with wire harness, ecu, and everything else that comes with a pull out engine. I am wondering if this transplant will work, if the bolt pattern from my transmition to the J-Spec engine will line up? What will need to be done to the engine and or ecu to conform to U.S. emissions? Any information on this engine swap would be greatly appreciated.
