im a bit confused, im looking around at cars and insurence but wont actuly buy a car till im near to my test.

for a 1.2cc corsa b insurence is around £1300

but for a peageot 106 1.1cc its £1600

why is there a big price difference for a lower size engine?

also i would prefere to get a 106, the insurence is guna be high anyway, could i share my insurence with say my dad since he drives a company car even though he uses its for social as well as buisiness? some of my mates share their insurence with their parents but my mum keeps telling me its illegal???

any advice would be great, cheerz

B - Dont be a mummy / daddys boy and have them insure you, its not illegal, but you'll have 0 no claims when they no longer insure you.

 Go for something insurance group 1 for the first year, fiat panda etc

Check on insurers website what it will cost with you a year older and more NCb you may be suprised about the drop

oh yeah i know if i had more ncb the price would drop like 300, but id rather that i had a car that i like even if it costs me a bit more

if its a corsa b then it will have at least an immobiliser and coded stereo

if its a c then it will have an alarm, immobiliser and coded stereo.

 all the 106's came with shit all in the way of security unless you bought the gti? and they aint much better.

ive worked on two 106's, i changed the clutch on one of them and that was quite hard and the other one the speedo didnt work on it and i still havnt got a clue why it aint working lol
