hello everyone, Ive just bought a ford focus 1.8tdci 115 on a 52 reg, been wanting to modify it from the minuite i got it but i didnt really know what i wanted to do as in performance or looks first due to a tight budget at the min. Ive decided on the performance and with a 500 pound buget what would be the best way to improve the performance of the car? any ideas and comments welcome.

Been looking at getting it remapped as a few people have suggested it, can get it done in my local town for 300 quid and it will give me an extra 21BHP and 60lbs of torque. any other ideas anyone?

Talk to the famous DERV DOCTOR for all things diesel and power tuning them !!!!!!

Just Google - THE DERV DOCTOR   

a remap and then have your rear muffler removed which should cost you about 3-400 for a remap and then about 100 to have your muffler removed, you will feel and hear the difference, personally I wouldn't go for an induction kit on a diesel as you risk losing power, maybe a bigger intercooler, but for the money, definetly get a remap, loads more torque and better mpg as well!

just got my car remapped by wake up your car and i can see a massive difference. i think i would leave ur prim and you would struggle to keep up with me!

woo hoo. go you? what's top end on your car? example = me mum's 1.5 clio. reasonably nippy till 80 get's to 108 top end.

me prim standard 2.0 16v = 0-60 in about 8.5 seconds top speed of 127 STANDARD not modded it YET but yeah maybe ya would beat a prim. let's see ya beat a saxo VTS tho

I think the top speed will be around 130 because of the remap and its 123 standard i think!! and yeh!! go me , i was pissed off that you tried to criticise my car because its a diesel and tried to say it was like your mums 1.5 clio when in reality its probs quicker than your prim, and diesel or petrol it doesnt matter much when your in a race  because all that matters is winning. what do you meen with the saxo vts comment?

out of intrest would anyone know what the 0-60 time would be now its been remapped up to about 140bhp?
