    De-Badging

hey guys. right i've taken the poxy primera badge off the back of it, i've taken the 2.0 badges off and am thinking whether to remove the nissan badges too. will this look awful coz it's a primera obviously. i know normally people take the badges off the grille and mesh it through but i can't coz it's got the 2 piece grille on mine. any thoughts on whether i should or shouldn't

    WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

    Re: De-Badging

hey fella i have a nissan aswell and when i started modding it last year one of first things i did was remove the nissan badges. Unfortunately the front one had locator holes and left it in a mess for the few months before i eventually got the bodykit and respray.

So whatever you decide just be aware!

How can giving the car a cleaner look make it look chavvy?! Confused

    Re: De-Badging

cleaner look by taking off a badge? Thats what boy racers do and boy racers are chavs arnt they. I go for a cleaner look by using "wax and shine". I like the idea of giving things your own stamp, but if you have a banger, what ever you do its always gonna be a banger, you cant polish a turd mate. So basically if you want to take the badge off, tkae it off but it will luk crap. sorry.

    Re: De-Badging

well said taz. anyways, went and took off the primera badge with the 2.0 litre badges so now it's only got the nissan badge on the back. as for the front badge i planned on leaving that on coz of the grille it's got. opinions please

    Re: De-Badging

I'm sure it's an improvement.  My old Mk4 Escort looked much better after I removed all the badges off the bootlid.  Can't post pics though as it was pre-digital when I had that!

    Re: De-Badging

nice one taz. i'm just a bit weary of pulling the niss badge off in case it looks a bit retarded lol. saying that tho i'm thinking it might not be soo bad lol. i've got a really chavvy alpine sunstrip across the front tho now so it takes away from the boot lol

    Re: De-Badging

Oh dear, lol!  My mk4 had a sunstrip too, with a Sparco badge. It also had a 60mm drop, RS turbo exhaust, bumpers, window tints & single wiper conversion, so the touring car sunstrip kinda suited it.  Going back about 10 years though lol!

If the nissan badge has mounting lugs don't bother, it looks ok as it is.
