Hey guys wandering if anyone could give me some help I have an Astra Coupe 2.2 so far I've put on a 2.4 inlet manifold,De-Restricted the Airbox,K&N Panel Filter,Vectra C Intake Piping,Custom Downpipe with pre-catt removed,Straight Through Exhaust System,200 Cell Sports Catt & Oval Catt Back Box and F.P.R mod.
Anyway since fitting the 200 cell sports catt I've had an EML I know that the 2nd lambda can't get the correct readings as the gasses are passing it too quickly now than what it was made for I was going to fit an o2 cheater was going to get it done by Dastek at the same time as I get the car re-mapped and there piggyback ECU sytem put on but a guy on another site was saying that an o2 cheater is just going to be hiding an underlying fault but I've had the car on the diagnostics twice now and first time nothing and second I the code I got was that the 2nd lambda was reading faulse readings but the lambda sensor itself is fine so I'm now a bit confused!!!
My mechanic had said about this when it first happened and that he could fix it by blanking the original lambda boss and move it along a certian amount by working out the leghnth which as long as he knew what the O/E catts cell ammount was which is 400 so he said easy enough but as I said for the same price I could get the o2 cheater put on by Dastek when having the piggyback put on.
